This four-year Correspondence B.Tech Program in Computer Science is designed to provide students an overview of computing, an understanding of the concepts, principles and skills in their application and extension, and practical experience in applied computing. The importance of B.Tech Computer Science is laid on the fundamental principles underlying computing and on developing an understanding of the engineering considerations involved in computing system design, implementation and usage. This B.Tech Computer Science course provides a background in the basic mathematics of computing-logic, sets, relations and grammars.
It is the intent of the University that B.Tech in Computer Science graduates will have thorough knowledge in the key principles and practices of computing and will have applied their software development skills and knowledge of foundational principles to the design and implementation of practical systems consisting of software and hardware components to meet customer requirements.
B.Tech in Computer Science graduates will have an understanding of additional engineering principles and the mathematical and scientific concepts that underlie them, and will have applied this understanding real-world problems and designing suitable solutions. B.Tech in Computer Science graduates will have appropriate interaction and organizational skills. B.Tech in Computer Science graduates will be successfully employed in the computing profession, and will be actively engaged in learning, understanding, and applying new ideas and technologies as the field evolves.

Admission Criteria for B.Tech Comp.Sc. Course:General Entry for B.Tech : PUC 2 years course / 10+2 (CBSE/ICSE) conducted by any state with subjects Physics, Chemistry, mathematics and English as one of the languages of study or any other equivalent.Lateral Entry for B.Tech: Candidates who has a diploma from a recognized technical board OR B.Sc / BCA from any recognized Government university, is eligible for admission to the third semester.
